According to Italian media, midfielder Ardon Jashari has suffered a serious injury in training at AC Milan and is expected to be out for at least two months.
On Thursday morning, Jashari was called up by national team coach Murat Yakin for Switzerland's upcoming World Cup qualifiers. However, the 23-year-old will have to decline this invitation for the games against Kosovo and Slovenia due to injury.
The accident was made public by Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri at the press conference before Friday's game in Lecce. The Swiss international is said to have suffered a calf fracture in his right leg.
If this diagnosis is confirmed, Jashari would miss the entire World Cup qualifiers.
