Decision in Gottéron's favor only in the final period

Christoph Bertschy scored the decisive goal in the 49th minute. Bertschy benefited from a sticking error by Roger Karrer and pulled away at high speed. And finally he finished off his solo run with a technically perfect finish to make it 2:1.

Nathan Marchon made it 3:1 in the 58th minute, scoring into an empty net.

Fribourg better in game 1

Gottéron deserved the win. They dominated the first game in the sold-out home arena (38:21 shots on goal). And they kept their cool when Servette took the lead after 75 seconds of the second period through Jesse Puljujärvi against the run of play. Only 4:44 minutes later, Attilio Biasca equalized with a follow-up shot.
