The Swisslos and Loterie Romande lotteries created 35 new millionaires in Switzerland last year. This means that the same number of people became lottery millionaires in 2025 as in the previous year, according to the lottery company Loterie Romande.

Four out of 35 became millionaires last year thanks to Euro Millions. On average, more than two people hit the jackpot every month thanks to Swiss Lotto and had one or more million francs credited to their account, Loterie Romande announced on Thursday.

The end of 2025 was characterized by a high jackpot: On November 5, a lucky player won 41 million francs, the fifth-largest prize in the history of the game.

According to the communiqué, Euro Millions had an "exceptional" year in 2025, characterized by long jackpot cycles that reached the maximum limit of 250 million francs several times. Since its launch in 2004, the game, in which nine European lotteries participate, has produced 91 millionaires in Switzerland, 62 of them in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino and 29 in French-speaking Switzerland.
