Music Anna Rossinelli opens the pre-show in the Pubic Viewing Arena
On Saturday, Basel singer Anna Rossinelli opened the pre-show at the Arena Plus in St. Jakob-Park in front of 36,000 spectators. The sold-out football stadium can boast of being the largest public viewing event in Switzerland.

Rossinelli, who represented Switzerland at the ESC in 2011, was followed by the acclaimed performance of Luca Hänni, who had a successful ESC in 2019. Swiss participant Zoë Më sent a message of greeting from the hall to the stadium.
Presenting duo Mélanie Freymond and Sven Epiney had previously encouraged the audience to sing along. Unsurprisingly, "Waterloo" by Abba was sung, followed by "Ein bisschen Frieden" by Nicole - with the idea of putting on the biggest karaoke act of all time, as Epiney said.
An ESC medley with Schwiizerörgeli, alphorns and yodeling sounds was also met with much applause.
