"Devil Wears Prada" star Anne Hathaway chooses roles regardless of audience

"I honestly can't say that I base my creative choices on making the audience happy," said the "The Princess Diaries" star in a press conference.
"When 'The Devil Wears Prada' came out, I kind of realized how big a hit it was, and I decided to step back a little bit from those kinds of roles." People seemed to have a very fixed idea of what roles she could play, said the 43-year-old. She therefore deliberately tried to challenge herself with different roles.
However, the 43-year-old has not renounced her early successes with the public: "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is currently showing in cinemas. "Sometimes it's nice to know that you're making something that people will enjoy," said the actress.
In addition to "The Devil Wears Prada 2", the Oscar winner can soon be seen as a broken pop star in the film "Mother Mary".
