Nicola Kneringer, alias Nickless, became famous overnight with his first song. His debut single "Waiting" was in the Swiss charts for 22 weeks. The crowning glory was the prize for "Best Hit National" at the Swiss Music Awards.
But the pop hit didn't just bring Nickless luck musically. He met his current wife during the video shoot. He is now a father of two.
A visit to Nickless' private studio
The Zurich native already knew as a child that music was his great passion. He learned to play the drums at the age of seven and then taught himself to play the piano and guitar.
The Zurich singer-songwriter has been on stage since he was twelve years old. In recent weeks, he has been performing in various clubs - and working on new songs such as "Don't Stop the Car", which will be released today, Friday, April 12.
Nickless opened the doors to his private studio for blue News.
Tidiness is important to him. "All modern rock stars are tidy," explains Nickless and adds: "When I make music, I'm quite chaotic."
Especially in a creative phase, guitars would be lying around in the studio. But if he had to climb over empty pizza boxes, that would be too much chaos for him.
