  • Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is being criticized. He is said to have exploited power structures to pressure women into sexual acts.
  • His lawyers publish a press release.
  • A forensic medical report is to exonerate the 60-year-old singer.

There are new findings in the case of Rammstein and Till Lindemann. An expert opinion is to exonerate the musician.

But first things first. Shelby Lynn from Northern Ireland made serious accusations against Lindemann after a Rammstein concert in Vilnius, Lithuania.

She wrote on social media about alleged abuse at a party after the event. She also published photos with bruises on her body.

Till Lindemann's lawyers tweeted a statement

"Bruises, including fingerprints, which could possibly be from a handle. I don't know when these bruises occurred because I was so out of my mind under the influence of something. This is from the night and the morning after."

Now Till Lindemann's lawyers have issued a statement. "In order to further clarify Ms. Lynn's allegations, we have initiated our own investigations for our client."

Markus Rothschild, Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Cologne University Hospital, came to the following conclusion: The hematomas shown were more likely not the result of violence.

According to him, "the morphology and localization of the documented injuries rather speak for an accidental event" - which points to an accidental cause.

Lithuania closes investigation against Till Lindemann

From a forensic medical point of view, the findings are "not typical for external influences". However, it was still not possible to completely rule out an external cause.

The expert was also unable to find "in particular any evidence of sexualized violence as the cause of the injuries documented on the witness". Again, it says that the opposite cannot be ruled out.

According to the authorities, the public prosecutor's office in Lithuania has now closed the investigation proceedings initiated there against Till Lindemann. An investigation in Berlin is still ongoing.

The fact is: Shelby Lynn herself made it clear on Twitter at the end of May: "Till didn't touch me. He accepted that I didn't want to have sex with him. I never claimed that he raped me."

The law firm representing Till Lindemann also emphasized that it would continue to take action against "inadmissible reporting" and "untrue factual claims" in social networks and the media.
