Metallica rock the Grosse Allmend shortly before the Frauenfeld Openair. The one-day Out in the Green festival warms up the grounds for hip-hop fans.

There is less time to set up on the racecourse in Frauenfeld than in previous years. The one-day Out in the Green festival takes place shortly before the Frauenfeld Openair.

So before the hip-hop community makes the pilgrimage to Frauenfeld, rock fans will meet up in the countryside. On Wednesday, July 6, the band Metallica will be the only Swiss concert. Eluveitie and Five Finger Death Punch will also be on stage.

As reported by the "St. Galler Tagblatt ", around 100 people are involved in the construction - 45 are needed for the stage alone. In addition, the main stage was delivered by a total of 15 articulated lorries.

The festival summer with Swisscom blue Music

Swisscom is a partner of the top Swiss open air festivals and will provide unique experiences on site, on the road and from home. Numerous specials and live broadcasts will be shown on blue TV during and after the events. The Swisscom subsidiary blue accompanies selected festivals as an official media partner.

The stage even had to be enlarged for Metallica and frontman James Hetfield, as head of set-up Sandro Keller told the Tagblatt newspaper.

It is a special case that shortens the set-up time by a week. Out in the Green is taking place for the first time in 20 years. The usual three and a half weeks will therefore be shortened to two and a half.

"We will tighten the final screws on Tuesday evening before the Out in the Green takes place. The last toilet containers will arrive the day before the event. There's always a lot going on at the end," says Sandro Keller.

As soon as the site has been opened to the open-air guests, the people responsible for the set-up will be able to relax a little - until the dismantling begins after the festival.
