Helene Fischer has been back on stage since the weekend.
She played a concert in Cologne in front of around 15,000 fans as part of her "Rausch" tour.
Beforehand, she spoke about her accident on the trapeze and why she will no longer be performing this feat in the future.
A good two months after her stage accident, pop queen Helene Fischer continued her "Rausch" tour in Cologne on Friday evening. "I'm extremely emotional today," the 39-year-old exclaimed to her 15,000 fans in the Lanxess Arena.
"It feels great to be back on stage," she said, "I'm feeling fantastic." In June, Fischer injured her face during a performance in Hanover and the concert had to be canceled. It was the last concert before an already planned summer break as part of her mega tour.
In Cologne, she did not jump into the arms of an acrobat, as she did at the show in Hanover, but safely into a jumping mat.
Helene Fischer jumped 43 times
She explained this change to RTL that she wanted to remove a stressful moment for both herself and the audience: "We're all only human. (...) I've done the jump 43 times, I can do it. But it just takes a little moment to show that humanity. I'm not a machine."
Fischer emphasizes that she is by no means "reckless": "Mistakes happen to me too. And I don't want to put myself or the audience through that."
Together with artists from Cirque du Soleil, she also continued to take part in daring acrobatic acts during her comeback, swinging above the stage with her partner Thomas Seitel at lofty heights.
The tour kicked off a few weeks later than planned in spring because Fischer had also broken a rib during rehearsals. The Cologne concerts were also postponed as a result. Now the pop queen will be on stage at six more concerts in Cologne until September 2.
