  • Céline Dion suffers from stiff person syndrome, which affects her body's motor skills and triggers spasms.
  • The 55-year-old has not yet found any medication to help her.
  • As an insider now reports, it could be the end of the music icon's career.

The 55-year-old singer was recently diagnosed with stiff person syndrome and is struggling to find medication to help her. Because of her condition, she had to cancel her world tour. Her sister gave a health update a few weeks ago in which she said: "We are all keeping our fingers crossed and I can understand why people are worried. She is working hard and we are confident that we will be successful."

But now things seem to be getting more serious, as the British "Mirror" writes. An insider says that the icon is currently barely able to leave the house because her condition is so debilitating - even her return to the stage is currently in jeopardy. An end to her career seems likely.

"Her back is bent"

The source goes on to say that she is prone to falls and suffers from "unbearable" spasms: "Céline hasn't been photographed in public for almost 600 days - with good reason. She can't walk well, loud noises trigger spasms. Her back is bent and she partially loses control of her muscles."

Because her condition is deteriorating, she recently moved in with her sister Linda and her three sons. The singer has 14 brothers and sisters who look after her: "We trust her. It is important to her that she remains disciplined in every aspect of her life. We can't yet find any medication that works, but hope remains the most important thing," the Mirror quotes Dion's sister Charlotte as saying.
