Brass music Federal Music Festival 2026 will not take place in Interlaken
The Federal Music Festival will not be held in Interlaken in 2026. The organizing committee has decided not to host the major event, citing economic reasons.

The Swiss Wind Music Association said on Friday that it is looking for an alternative location. There is already contact with a possible new organizing committee. For the association's management, it is clear that the organization of a Federal Music Festival in 2026 is "a must".
Around 20,000 musicians and several tens of thousands of visitors were expected to attend the Federal Music Festival in Interlaken from 14 to 17 May. The "Eidgenössische" is considered the largest brass music festival in the world and is organized every five years by the Swiss Brass Music Association.
