Fernanda Brandão has become a mother again and given birth to a son. The Brazilian-born woman shared her joy at the birth, saying: "We were one for 41 weeks. It was a magical experience to enjoy this beautiful pregnancy with you. Now you are in our arms and enriching our lives. Thank you dear son, we love you. Papai, Mamãe & Aurora." The child's father is Roman Weber, the stepson of well-known survival expert Rüdiger Nehberg.
Traumatic experiences from the first birth
Just over two years ago, Fernanda Brandão experienced a challenging birth of her daughter Aurora. Originally, the birth was to take place in the Finnish wilderness, but pregnancy poisoning ruined this plan. "I could tell it was serious as soon as I saw the doctors," Fernanda recalled in an interview with RTL. Instead of the planned home birth, a caesarean section was necessary, which saved mother and child.
Safety concerns and the decision to go to Germany
The experience of the first birth shaped Fernanda Brandão's decision not to take any risks this time. "If I had been without doctors now, if I had been too far away from the hospital, I wouldn't know whether I would be sitting here now or my daughter. And that makes you very humble," she explained. At the age of 41, as a late-term mother, she decided to give birth in Germany in order to secure medical care. Fernanda Brandão has not yet revealed the name of her newborn son.
