Miscellaneous Film producer Glen Basner receives Game Changer Award
The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) will honor Glen Basner with the Game Changer Award in September. The producer and CEO of the US company FilmNation Entertainment is regarded as "one of the leading sales agents in the world".

Basner will receive the award for "his outstanding achievements, excellent cinematic taste and significant contribution to the film industry", as the ZFF wrote in a press release on Thursday.
The entertainment company he founded, FilmNation Entertainment, produces, finances and distributes films, series, theater productions and podcasts. Its productions include well-known, Oscar-winning films such as Sean Baker's drama "Anora" (2024) and Edward Berger's Vatican thriller "Conclave" (2024). Both films were also shown at the ZFF.
The Game Changer Award goes to personalities from the film industry who shape and advance it and "shape change in the entertainment business with visionary leadership", according to the press release. Basner's commitment to high-quality filmmaking goes hand in hand with a strong belief in the cinematic experience and the desire to protect and strengthen directors, ZFF CEO Christian Jungen is quoted as saying in the press release.
The 22nd edition of the Zurich Film Festival will take place from September 24 to October 4. Glen Basner will receive the Game Changer Award at the Zurich Summit, which takes place from September 25 to 27.
