Grossert, who lives in La Chaux-de-Fonds, currently works as a curator at the Center Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel (CDN), according to a press release issued by the Swiss National Library on Tuesday. He is also active as President of the "Société des amis du Musée des beaux-arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds" and as a member of various art juries. He also curates independent exhibition projects.
After studying humanities at the Universities of Neuchâtel and Lausanne, Gabriel Grossert completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Cultural Management at the University of Neuchâtel. He joined the CDN in 2020 as part of an internship and then continued his work in several exhibition-related mandates. In 2022, he became a research assistant and curator.
The CDN was founded 25 years ago as an institution of the Swiss National Library. Based on Friedrich Dürrenmatt's pictorial work, the center explores the relationship between literature and the visual arts in an interdisciplinary approach.
