Michael Elsener made his first appearance as a comedian at the age of 14.
Back then, he had the idea of parodying the principal of his school at the Kanti. "I felt the critical looks when I went on stage with braces," he recalls.
At that moment, I thought: "I'm just stupid." But the principal laughed out loud after his act. At that moment, Elsener knew what he wanted to do for a living.

Michael Elsener reveals a secret
Michael Elsener has been on stage for almost 20 years now. The 38-year-old is now a permanent fixture on the Swiss comedy scene. But in his private life, he is rather reserved.
In the blue News program "On the Rocks", he does reveal one secret: "I have a mega nice bathtub."
He has already received many requests for home stories and has always turned them down. But then he once agreed to do one for Swiss television SRF. Elsener tells presenter Frank Richter how the home story shootsuddenly turned into a comedy routine.
