Jessica Haller, known from the reality show "Bachelorette", recently came under fire after she shared a video on Instagram showing her dealing with a parking ticket. The 34-year-old had parked on the sidewalk and received a parking ticket.
Criticism of alleged arrogance
The reactions to the video were not long in coming. Many followers saw Haller's behavior as arrogant, as she picked up the parking ticket in the clip and got into her white Porsche while writing: "POV You don't let anything get you down. On that note: Happy Monday." The supposedly nonchalant gesture was perceived as selfish. Comments such as "Rules have to be followed! Driving schools teach you that... Fortunately there is no celebrity bonus" showed the outrage of the followers. Some even threatened to stop following her.
Jessica clears things up
After a hectic day, Jessica Haller noticed the negative reactions and decided to delete the video. She explained that it was a misunderstanding and that she didn't want to provoke anyone. "For one thing, it wasn't my car and for another, it wasn't my dog," she clarified. She had only parked incorrectly for ten minutes. Her intention to demonstrate composure was misunderstood. "It was meant to be something completely different. But I don't want to explain it," she added.
