British singer-songwriter Lola Young and Mexican rapper Peso Pluma will be performing at the Gurtenfestival in July. The organizers announced the definitive programme on Thursday.
Lola Young received a lot of acclaim last year for her song "Messy". The young musician will be playing on the main stage on Gurten Thursday, after K.I.Z and before Saint Levant and Tshegue. Peso Pluma performs on the tent stage on the same day. Mustard, who has also appeared as a producer for Kendrick Lamar, will also be performing there.
According to the organizers, the performances by Lola Young, Peso Pluma and Mustard are the only ones in Switzerland this year.
The festival begins on Wednesday with the main stage acts Macklemore, Nina Chuba and Shaboozey. Bernese rapper Jule X and Swiss ESC participant Zoë Më are among those playing on the Waldbühne.
Cro, Franz Ferdinand, Berq and Sylvie Kreusch will perform on the main stage on Friday, while Polo & Pan, Jersey and Jacoténe will play on the tent stage.
On Saturday, actor Will Smith will take to the main stage to present his rap skills. He will be followed by Max Herre & Joy Denalane, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso and Loi. Apsilon, Uche Yara and DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U will perform on the tent stage.
The Waldbühne will also be dominated by Swiss acts in 2025, including Edb, Steiner & Madlaina, Troubas Kater, Sirens of Lesbos and Baby Volcano.
A fourth stage and more WCs
The organizers also announced that they would be setting up a fourth stage "where the Gurten slopes down to Köniz". However, no music will be played on this stage. They have not yet given any further details.
There will also be more toilets at the upcoming Gurten Festival, namely one for every 48 visitors, the organizers added.
A second entrance to the site, which will be available for the first time this year, was already known. The new entrance will be located at the Waldbühne and can be reached via a footpath from the Spiegel/Blinzern bus stop.
