After more than two months of intensive therapy, Marc Terenzi has left the addiction clinic. The 46-year-old singer spent 70 days reorganizing his life after a breakdown.
"The clinic was the best decision of my life," explained Terenzi in an interview with 'Bild'. He had developed a new understanding of himself there and realized why he had repeatedly fallen back into old patterns of behaviour over the past twenty years. Alcohol was often a problem solver that he used too often in stressful times. "I need to get a grip on that again," he admitted openly.
Support from Canada
Terenzi does not have to cope with this new phase of his life alone. He plans to visit his good friend Mandy in Canada, who stood by him during his most difficult time. "You have to help me, I can't go on," he told her over two months ago. Mandy suspects that his last relationship, in which he felt humiliated and hurt, contributed to his breakdown. This relationship with presenter Verena Kerth ended before his hospital stay.
