US actor Christian Slater (55, "Interview with a Vampire", "The Name of the Rose") is to be immortalized with a star plaque in the heart of Hollywood. Slater is to unveil the 2,815th star on the "Walk of Fame" on June 9 for his achievements in television.

He will have prominent support. Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who recently had a supporting role in the TV series "Dexter: Original Sin", has been invited as a guest speaker.

In the ten-part thriller series, a prequel to "Dexter", Patrick Gibson plays the lead role of budding serial killer Dexter Morgan. Golden Globe winner Christian Slater ("Mr. Robot") plays Harry Morgan, Dexter's adoptive father and homicide investigator.

US director Michael Lehmann, who directed several episodes of "Dexter: Original Sin", has also been invited as a speaker. He was already on board as director for the black comedy "Heathers" in 1988, with the then young cast of Slater, Winona Ryder and Shannen Doherty.

Slater was awarded a Golden Globe for his role in the award-winning hacker series "Mr. Robot" (2016). In the series, he plays the eponymous "Mr. Robot", who recruits a young hacker for his goals. In 2018, he starred alongside Glenn Close in the independent drama "The Nobel Prize Winner's Wife". Zoë Kravitz also got Slater in front of the camera last year for her directorial debut "Blink Twice" alongside Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum.
