The multimedia installation is entitled "The Unfinished Business of Living Together". It was conceived by the curators Gianmaria Andreetta and Luca Beeler together with the artist Nina Wakeford and developed in collaboration with the artists Miriam Laura Leonardi, Lithic Alliance and Yul Tomatala.
According to the press release, the installation is based on voices from a "Telearena" program on Swiss television from 1978. At that time, the supposed "problem of homosexuality" was discussed publicly and controversially with a live audience. This program was one of the first in which people who identified as homosexual were able to make themselves heard publicly beyond subcultural groups.
In the Swiss pavilion of the Biennale Gardens, the art collective will, according to the communiqué, revisit the formal mechanisms of this TV talk show by means of montage and installation, restaging them and thus posing comprehensive questions about media structures on the meta-level of coexistence.
The Venice Art Biennale is one of the world's most important platforms for contemporary art and runs from May 9 to November 22, 2026.
