Music festival Neuchâtel festival evacuated due to a thunderstorm

The Festi'neuch site was evacuated on Sunday due to a violent thunderstorm. Several barriers at the festival in Neuchâtel were blown away by the wind.

Until the thunderstorm at 2.45 pm on Sunday, the festival had gone off without any major health and safety incidents. A total of 59,000 tickets were sold for the four-day event.

It was the first time in the 24 editions of Festi'neuch that the site had to be evacuated. The majority of festival-goers took refuge in the parking lots, the underpass of the Neuchâtel funicular railroad or in school rooms.
