Crime novelist Nicolas Feuz plans to step down from his position as public prosecutor at the end of August 2026. From now on, the Neuchâtel native wants to devote himself entirely to writing.

"I spent 27 years as a criminal judge, then 27 years as an examining magistrate and public prosecutor. Now it's 27 years as a crime writer full time," announced Nicolas Feuz in a publication on the LinkedIn platform. He also shared an article from "Arcinfo"; the Neuchâtel daily newspaper had previously reported.

Feuz attracted attention in German-speaking Switzerland last spring together with his fellow author Marc Voltenauer. Under the title "Tödliches Ultimatum" (Deadly Ultimatum), the two wrote their first crime thriller together. The fast-paced story of a Switzerland on the brink of disaster was published almost simultaneously in the French-language original and the German translation. The two have long been bestselling authors in French-speaking Switzerland.
