It has only been known since the beginning of June that the rap-rock band Kraftklub will be one of the headliners at the 47th Openair St. Gallen (OASG). The musicians from Chemnitz (Germany) are standing in for Kings of Leon (USA), who canceled their performance due to an injury to their frontman. Pop rockers Annenmaykantereit, another well-known name from Germany, will be performing in the Sittertobel.

The OASG also offers Swiss participation. Among others, the singer-songwriter Faber has been engaged. Shortly before his performance on Sunday afternoon, a demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine is planned, as OASG spokeswoman Nora Fuchs told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request.

A live link to a musician in the Ukrainian capital Kiev is to be set up on the main stage. The song "Wonderwall" by Oasis will be played together with the bassist from Sportfreunde Stiller, who is traveling to Sittertobel especially for the event. "The idea is for the audience in front of the Sitterbühne to sing along diligently," says Fuchs.

A touch of ESC in St. Gallen

Nemo will also be performing on Sunday. The talented musician won the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) for Switzerland in 2024.

The line-up also includes names such as Ski Aggu, a German rapper, Chase & Status (Electro, United Kingdom) and the musician Dasha from the USA. She became famous with her hit "Austin".
