The focus is not only on their relationship, but also on the merciless public pressure. What happens to two people when the whole of America is watching?

The series is the prelude to Ryan Murphy's new "Love Story" series, in which each season retells a famous, real-life love story.

  • "Eternity" (blue Video)

What if the most important love decision is made after death? "Eternity" takes the classic love triangle romcom into the afterlife and turns it into a colorful, playful and surprisingly thought-provoking love story.

After her death, Joan is faced with an impossible choice: should she spend her eternity with Larry, her trusted husband with whom she has shared an entire life? Or with Luke, her first great love, who died far too young in the war - and has been waiting for her for decades. In the afterlife, there is no turning back: a decision, an eternity.

Director David Freyne relies on retro charm, loving details and a pinch of quirky humor - and poses big questions about love, closeness and transience. The whole thing is carried by Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller and Callum Turner, who lend tangible depth to the emotional dilemma.

An unusual romantic comedy for Valentine's Day - light-footed, bittersweet and with the comforting thought that finiteness is what makes life so valuable.

  • "Dracula - The Resurrection" (blue Video)

The series follows the two over the years and tells of competition, desire and a relationship that must remain hidden in macho professional sport.

The adaptation adheres closely to Rachel Reid's acclaimed book and spares neither emotion nor physicality. More than provocation, however, "Heated Rivalry" is a look at homosexuality in men's sport. Find out more about the series here.

At the center is Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), an ex-stuntman with superpowers who wants to make a career in Hollywood - while trying to balance fame, responsibility and an over-the-top media world.

Unlike other MCU formats, "Wonder Man" focuses more on satire, social criticism and showbiz madness - without sacrificing the action typical of Marvel.

  • "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" (HBO Max)

"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is a new prequel from the "Game of Thrones" universe that takes fans back to Westeros. Without any dragons, but with heart, humor and new adventures.

The new series is also based on a book by author George R.R. Martin. This time, however, you can expect more of a knight than a fantasy series.

Watch the video to find out the three things you need to know before venturing back to Westeros.

The series follows an unlikely duo: Ser Duncan "Dunk" the Great (Peter Claffey), an upstanding but not noble knight, and his young squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). What Dunk doesn't know is that Egg is actually Aegon Targaryen, who will one day sit on the throne as King Aegon V - and is the grandfather of the "Mad King" many people know from "Game of Thrones".

Together, the two roam the seven kingdoms, getting caught up in tournaments, intrigues and dangerous trials. Instead of huge battles, the focus is on down-to-earth adventures, clever dialog and genuine character development.

Our anticipation for "A Night of the Seven Kingdoms": 🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️ (out of 5)

The series starts on January 19 on HBO Max and shows one of a total of six episodes each week. A second season is already being planned.

"Wicked: Part 2" not only enchants musical fans

In addition to Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, renowned actors such as Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh provide additional depth - not only musically, but also as actors.

Our rating for "Wicked: Part 2": 👸🧙‍♀️👸🧙‍♀️ (out of 5)

"Wicked: Part 2" will be available on blue Video on January 21.

  • "The Rookie" season 8 launch - Sky (blue Premium)

"Love is in the air": Love, chaos and a hint of honeymoon - "The Rookie" starts its 8th season with heartbreak. John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and Bailey Nune (Jenna Dewan) want to make up for their "botched" honeymoon - but instead of romance in Prague, lots of action awaits.

"The Rookie" is an unusual mix of police drama, humor, heart and a lot of humanity - with missions that get under your skin and characters you can empathize with. If you find series like "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" too light and "Blue Bloods" too serious, you've come to the right place: suspense meets charm, action meets emotion.

Recommended for anyone who likes crime formats but doesn't want to miss out on character development and a pinch of self-irony. And a must for fans of Nathan Fillion anyway.

Our anticipation for "The Rookie" season 8: 🚓🚓🚓🚓 (out of 5)

Gerald Salmina accompanied everything with his camera and his film provides an insight into the lives of skiing's superstars.

  • "The Pitt" (HBO Max)

For fans of "Emergency Room", "Grey's Anatomy" or "Chicago Med", "The Pitt" is an absolute must. In contrast to many other hospital series, however, "The Pitt" focuses on a realistic portrayal. The series has also been praised by critics and has won five Emmy Awards.

"The Pitt" impresses with an intense and authentic insight into the stressful everyday life in a hospital. It also addresses problems in the healthcare system - from the nursing crisis to violence between patients and nursing staff - and social developments such as cutbacks and redundancies.

The first season of the hospital series won five awards at the last Emmy Awards. Among others, Noah Wyle was honored for his role, which he is now reprising in the second season.

At the premiere of the second season in Los Angeles, the makers announced the renewal for a third season, as reported by "The Hollywood Reporter".

Our anticipation for the second season: 🩺🩺🩺🩺🩺 (5 out of 5).

"The Pitt" will be available on HBO Max from January 13.

  • Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Paramount+)

Into the 32nd century! Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the franchise, the showrunners are opening a new chapter and expanding the "Star Trek" universe.

Initial reactions are surprisingly positive. There is praise not only for the choice of cast around Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti, but also for the harmonious mix of coming-of-age elements, humor and sci-fi action.

This time, however, the focus of "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" is not on experienced officers, but on a group of young Starfleet cadets who are completing their training in a time of upheaval.

Our anticipation for the new series: 🪐🪐🪐🪐 (3 out of 5).

"Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" starts on January 15, 2026 with a double episode and then exclusively on Paramount+ (in a package from blue SuperMax).

  • "Girl Taken" (Paramount+)

Do you remember Theon Greyjoy, who is tormented and tortured by the nasty Ramsey Bolton in "Game Of Thrones" and then becomes a good-natured hero again after being a "stinker"? Either way, this charismatic role is played by Alfie Allen, the antagonist of the new thriller series "Girl Taken".

After eight years in the hands of her kidnapper, Lily Riser (Talullah Evans) manages to escape, but her return home turns out to be a new psychological nightmare. As she tries to heal her estranged relationship with her twin sister and mother, she quickly realizes that her family's life has taken a dark turn without her.

"Girl Taken" is not only a psychological thriller, but also an emotional drama about resilience, betrayal and the high price it takes to reclaim one's life.

Our anticipation for "Girl Taken": 🌑🌑🌑🌑 (4 out of 5)

The mini-series will air on Paramount+ from January 8.

  • "His & Hers" (Netflix)

We're staying in the psychological thriller mini-series genre. In "His & Hers", journalist Anna becomes embroiled in a brutal murder case in her hometown, which sparks a dangerous dynamic between her and investigating detective Jack Harper. As both pursue their own version of the truth and are connected by a dark past, a highly suspenseful game of cat and mouse develops under the oppressive Georgia heat.

With a star-studded cast including Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal and Pablo Schreiber, the film adaptation of Alice Feeney's bestseller offers just the right fodder for fans of nerve-wracking psychological thrillers with so-called unreliable narrators. The series is primarily aimed at an audience that appreciates dark mystery dramas in the style of "Gone Girl", in which an abyss lurks behind every small-town facade.

The mini-series will be available on Netflix from 8.1.

Our anticipation for "His & Hers" 👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏻👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏻👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏻👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏻 (4 out of 5)

  • "Predator: Badlands" (Blue Video)

With "Predator: Badlands", the legendary franchise returns and tells the story of sisters Thia and Tessa, who fight for their survival in a futuristic wasteland world. What makes this spin-off from director Dan Trachtenberg so special is the bold decision to focus on the Predator himself as a kind of anti-hero, which gives the series a completely new perspective.

After the predecessor "Prey" landed directly in streaming, "Badlands" celebrated a phenomenal surprise success at the box office. The dual role of Elle Fanning ("Super 8", "Maleficent"), who plays both sisters, lends impressive acting depth to the tough fight for survival. Having just been released in cinemas, the sci-fi action hit is now available for home cinema.

The film is available from blue Video on 6.1.

Our rating for "Predator: Badlands": 💀💀💀💀 (4 out of 5)

"The Copenhagen Test" is a nerve-wracking cat-and-mouse game in which the boundaries between personal memories and digital manipulation become increasingly blurred. • "The Running Man" (blue Video)

In the dystopian remake of "The Running Man", director Edgar Wright sends shooting star Glen Powell into a deadly fight for survival.

The remake of the 1987 action classic with Arnold Schwazenegger follows desperate father Ben Richards (Powell), who takes part in a cruel reality show to secure medical treatment for his daughter. The aim is to escape professional killers for 30 days while drones broadcast the action live for a sensationalist audience.

The movie captivates with its fast pace and spectacular chase scenes. While Powell's performance and the visual design of the two-tier society are convincing, the media-critical message about AI manipulation remains rather superficial. Ultimately, however, Wright delivers a gripping action thriller that works brilliantly as a modern and fast-paced race against time.

The film is available from January 4 at blue Video

Our rating for "The Running Man": 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️ (out of 5)

As the world loses trust, Superman must decide what he stands for - and who he can still trust.

  • "Outlander: Blood Of My Blood" (blue Premium)

Attention "Outlander" fans: There's more to come from the Highlands. The prequel "Outlander: Blood of My Blood" tells the prequel story in ten episodes - with two time periods, two forbidden love stories and a new cast.

In the Scottish Highlands of the 18th century, we meet Jamie's parents Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, while in England at the time of the First World War, we get to know Claire's parents Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.

Fancy a little foretaste? You can immerse yourself in the stories in "The Gathering".

It remains to be seen whether there will also be time travel. But one thing is certain: romance, drama and bloody intrigue are guaranteed. There are also sex scenes, as is already the case with "Outlander". It's not for nothing that the series is only rated 16 and over.

  • "The Actor" (free TV on Arte)

In the Iranian TV series "The Actor ", freelance actors Ali and Morteza, together with colleagues, use their art on stage in everyday life: They solve (criminal) cases for a detective agency.

"The Actor" appears to begin as a thriller before the series suddenly takes a completely different turn after two seasons. And just when you think you know what's going to happen next, the story takes another turn.

In order to make ends meet, Ali and Morteza also take on unusual and dangerous jobs. The two men, who are constantly short of money, have a dream:

They want to one day stage plays they have written themselves in their own theater.

Some might say that "The Actor" is the Iranian version of the US blockbuster "Mission: Impossible". But in my opinion, the melancholy and humor that can be felt in every episode does not fit in with this.

Our rating for the cast selection and the story: 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (out of 5)

Here you can watch the two seasons of "The Actor" until August 7, 2026.

  • "F1 - The Movie" (blue Video)

Adrenaline, emotion - and Brad Pitt in a racing suit. The story? A minor matter. Sure, "F1" doesn't come close to "Rush" or "Ferrari" in terms of narrative. But honestly: you simply have to see this movie.

«I'd rather see a movie starring Lewis Hamilton than Brad Pitt»

Top Gun: Maverick" director Joseph Kosinski was hired for the elaborate production of "F1 - The Movie". And with seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, he had a valuable advisor at his side. Find out more about the film in the review by blue News film expert and F1 fan Gianluca Izzo.

  • "Jurassic World: Rebirth" (blue Video)

"Jurassic World: Rebirth" opens the next chapter for the iconic film series: with a new expedition team, new dinosaurs and lots of great references to the classic from the 90s.

But does the cult film series need another sequel? Yes, and blue News film expert Gianluca Izzo tells you why in the video.

Do you think "Jurassic World: Rebirth" isn't worth it? Because it's all sci-fi and invented by Hollywood?

So there's nothing standing in the way. Ready for a movie marathon?

  • Dragon taming made easy (blue Video)

Pure goosebumps, even though you actually know the story. The content of the live-action adaptation is no different from the animated film that thrilled millions of viewers in 2010.

Nevertheless, this movie is a must-see - and not just because Hans Zimmer composed the soundtrack. Gerard Butler also cuts a fine figure as the fearless Viking chieftain Haudrauf.

  • "Alien: Earth" (Disney+)

If you're a fan of sci-fi and aliens, you have to watch this series.

"Alien: Earth" by "Fargo" creator Noah Hawley impresses from the very first episodes with grandiose space images reminiscent of Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic "Alien" (1979). The story takes place around two years before the events of the first "Alien" film from 1979.

When a mysterious spaceship crashes on Earth, a special team is sent out to get to the bottom of the matter - but their discovery becomes a threat to the entire human race.

We are delighted with the high-quality production - and at the same time regret that this first part of the franchise cannot be seen on the big screen.

Our rating: 🛸🛸🛸🛸 (out of 5)

The series has been running on Disney+ since August 13, 2025 (in the blue SuperMax package).

  • "Chief of War" (Apple TV+)

This series was close to "Aquaman" Jason Momoa's heart: The actor with Hawaiian roots produced the nine-part "Chief of War" together with Thomas Pa'a Sibbett.

The series tells the story of the warrior Ka'iana (played by Momoa), who tries to unite the Hawaiian islands in the late 18th century to fight against Western colonization. But the four kingdoms of the islands are torn apart by a bitter war. The series takes the perspective of the indigenous people.
