Around 80 works on paper are on display in the exhibition "Druck gemacht! Masterpieces on Paper from Albrecht Dürer to Dieter Roth". The selection of artists reads almost like a who's who from four centuries of art history: it begins with the filigree copperplate engraving "Adam and Eve" by old master Albrecht Dürer from 1504 and continues through to colorful silkscreen works by Dieter Roth from 1970.

With this exhibition to mark the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Graphic Art Collection, the Kunsthaus aims to showcase the many facets of printmaking: This ranges from etchings and woodcuts to experiments with various modernist techniques. The exhibition is not structured chronologically, but has been grouped according to printing techniques.

According to the Kunsthaus, it also wants to show that printmaking is not just a means of reproducing pictorial ideas, but a "genuine means of artistic expression". On display are works that focus on motif and technical mastery.

The exhibition "Druck gemacht!" in the Cabinet of the Kunsthaus Zürich can be seen until January 25, 2026.
