Fans must continue to wait Rockstar shares slump - "GTA 6" postponed again
Fans of "Grand Theft Auto" are used to long waits. It has been eleven years since "GTA V" was released. The sixth installment of the blockbuster game will no longer be launched this year.

The eagerly awaited next game in the "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) series will not be released this year as originally planned. "Grand Theft Auto VI will now be released on May 26, 2026," announced New York-based publisher Rockstar Games.
"Grand Theft Auto VI" (GTA VI) is the officially announced and highly anticipated next game in the Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar Games. It is the first new installment since GTA V (2013) and is being touted by fans, media and the industry as one of the gaming industry's biggest blockbusters ever.
"We sincerely regret that it will be later than you expected," the statement continues. "The interest and anticipation for a new Grand Theft Auto is truly overwhelming for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and patience as we work to complete the game."
GTA set the standard
"Grand Theft Auto" is one of the most famous video game series in the world and was first released in 1997. The special thing about the game is the enormous freedom of play: the open game world can be freely explored, and apart from the main missions there are numerous side tasks and activities - from sports such as golf or tennis to car racing and leisure activities such as hunting or going to the theater. The plot is often characterized by satirical and socially critical elements and is told through cinematic cutscenes. The characters usually work their way up in a criminal career.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set in a fictional version of the US metropolis of Miami. The trailer released so far features high-speed car rides, fast motorboats, beaches, weapons, crocodiles and many characters, including a protagonist named Lucia.
