People Russell Crowe raves about Thailand: visit to cult cookshop
The "Gladiator" Russell Crowe is back in Thailand and raves about eating in a legendary cookshop. The street eatery Jay Fai in Bangkok has been the talk of the town since the Michelin restaurant guide awarded it a star in 2018.

Jay Fai, as the owner Supinya Jansuta is nicknamed, is known for always standing in front of the wok wearing ski goggles and a woolly hat to protect herself from the sparks of the glowing charcoal. On X, Crowe (60) posted a photo of himself with the almost 80-year-old iconic chef.
"Stopped by my friend Jay Fai's unique and wonderful restaurant. Crab curry! Crab omelette!" the New Zealand-Australian film star wrote in his post, gushing: "She's an absolute rock star!" Bangkok is always an exciting experience. "So nice to be back in fantastic Thailand!"

Crowe was in Bangkok and Phuket for filming in 2021, among other places, and delighted his 2.8 million followers with photos and videos of particularly beautiful sights.
