Sky du Mont moved to Austria out of love to make a home together with his new partner Julia Schütze. But after just six months, their happiness was marred by a flood in September.
Between Hamburg and chaos
The actor, known from "Der Schuh des Manitu", was still shaken in an interview with the "Kronen Zeitung" newspaper. "I've just been there again and it's just terrible," he said. He described the damage: "The cellar is uninhabitable. The walls had to be removed because of the electricity. You get what you can from insurance and disaster control, but it's obviously not enough to restore everything." Although he still lives in Hamburg, he regularly commutes between the two places. A complete move to Austria is out of the question for him.
Longing for Munich
Sky du Mont lives in Hamburg with his 18-year-old son Fayn. A complete move to Austria is unlikely for him. "I would actually move back to Munich because I like the city," he told the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper. "I used to live there for 37 years. I like Bavaria, the lakes, the mountains and the proximity to Italy. But the thought of moving again puts me off. I realize that as I get older, I think more quickly: Do I still have to do this to myself?" he asked himself.
