Things are not going well for Swiss ESC star Nemo: the contract with his management has expired, the planned tour has been postponed and there is also pressure to finally present new music.
Nemo's contract with his management, Zurich-based Capitano Music, expired at the end of 2024. This was confirmed by managing director Reto Lazzarotto to "Blick" on Wednesday. It is unclear what led to this break. The person who was responsible for Nemo at Capitano is coordinating matters "on an interim basis". Nemo is looking for new management in his adopted country of Great Britain.
Nemo has been living in London for several months, which is also the starting point for his new songs. In a post on Instagram a few days ago, Nemo wrote about a personal realization that great things take time. "And if I don't make it a priority to take enough time for new music, it won't have a chance to be great."
Nemo has released just one single since winning the ESC in Malmö. Expectations are high that more will finally follow - not least in view of the fact that a European tour should have started in mid-February. However, this has been postponed due to work on the new album.
This is also clear from Nemo's Instagram post. "Blick" writes that none of the gigs are sold out. The tour through countries such as Greece, Ukraine, Lithuania, Spain and the United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is now scheduled to start at the end of October.
It is not a good omen that the entire team, including the musicians, has apparently been replaced for this tour. This was also reported in the Tamedia newspapers on Wednesday. Because savings had to be made, the team had been replaced by a German team.
