A 3,400 square meter museum building is planned at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, the Schmidheiny family announced on Wednesday. The project is intended to make the family's private art collection permanently accessible to the public.

One of the focal points will be paintings by Ferdinand Hodler, as well as various works of new contemporary art, as the family's press spokesperson explained to the Keystone-SDA news agency.

According to the press release, the Thomas Schmidheiny family is now the third generation to be involved in the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. Its most important industrial holding is the building materials group Holcim.
