Not only Hallenstadion Zürich AG, but also the ticket seller Ticketcorner behaved abusively between 2009 and 2011 in connection with concerts at the Hallenstadion. This was established by the Competition Commission (ComCo).

As it announced on Thursday, it has fined Hallenstadion Zürich (AGH) around CHF 50,000 and Ticketcorner around CHF 65,000. This was due to a cooperation agreement concluded between the two companies in 2008.

The Federal Supreme Court had already ruled in 2020 that AGH had entered into an anti-competitive agreement with this contract. At the time, the court instructed the ComCo to clarify whether Ticketcorner could also be accused of anti-competitive behavior.

Now the ComCo says: This company also had a dominant market position in ticketing for major concerts in German-speaking Switzerland from 2009 to 2011. By concluding the contract with AGH, Ticketcorner also acted abusively.
