The parade at Zurich's Sechseläuten has begun. 3500 guild members march or ride through the city center to Sechseläutenplatz. The weather is kind to Zurich's spring festival.

This year's 120 guests of honor include Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, singer Beatrice Egli, ice hockey legends Mark Streit and Andres Ambühl and the Bishop of Chur, Joseph Maria Bonnemain. A particularly large number of guests of honor come from the host canton of Graubünden.

The Böögg is already awaiting its fate on Sechseläutenplatz. At 6 p.m., the wooden pile on which it stands is set alight. If the snowman's head explodes early, the summer should be a beautiful one.
