The 19-year-old from Solothurn had to undergo another operation, as his team announced in a press release.
In preparation for the new season, Dettwiler suffered a fracture in his left wrist in a crash in Jerez, which required surgery. Examinations after the operation revealed a further injury to his right elbow, which also required surgery. This took place on Monday afternoon in Switzerland, according to the press release.
Dettwiler hopes to be back on the grid at the Grand Prix of America in Austin at the end of March.
