Nick Cassidy wins the second Formula E race in Shanghai in dominant fashion. Nico Müller is the best of the Swiss trio in 6th place.
Müller improved significantly compared to Saturday's race, when he finished in 15th place. The driver from the Andretti team was 21 seconds off the podium. Like Edoardo Mortara, Sébastien Buemi did not really get up to speed. The Swiss drivers finished one directly behind the other in 18th and 19th place.
Cassidy celebrated a start-finish victory in difficult conditions on the Shanghai International Circuit, also the venue for the Chinese Grand Prix as part of the Formula 1 World Championship. After a rolling start on the seventh of 31 laps, the New Zealander drove a lonely race at the front on a wet surface. It was the first win of the season for the Team Jaguar driver and the eighth of his career. German Pascal Wehrlein and Portuguese Antonio Felix Da Costa completed the podium.
The German Maximilian Günther, Saturday's winner, dropped out. There were also no points for Oliver Rowland in 13th place. However, the Briton continues to lead the overall standings by a large margin.
