Xherdan Shaqiri: "We had to work hard to earn the win. It certainly wasn't our best performance, but in the end we got the trophy and made the double perfect. That's what counts and what our fans deserve. I'm proud of the team. It's great that we were able to crown our top season. But also a big compliment to Biel for the way they fought and came back once again."

Fabio Celestini (Basel coach): "It's an incredible feeling. It was a difficult game today. We did a bit of everything we had planned not to do. Biel defended well and usually had ten players behind the ball. In the end, our quality made the difference. The team has earned this double over the whole season. They worked hard and improved step by step. What's next for me? We'll have to talk about that tomorrow, not now. I've already been in contact with Daniel Stucki (Basel's head of sport - editor's note) - we both know the direction we're heading in."

Dominik Schmid: "I had half a heart attack on the bench in the second half. Chapeau Biel, they did very well. But I also have to say that we played a very poor game today."

Omer Dzonlagic (FC Biel): "Of course it hurts us players at the moment. After the equalizer, we had a scenario in mind of how we could beat FCB. Nevertheless, a huge thank you to every Biel fan who came to Bern today. I've never experienced an atmosphere like this before. Despite the defeat, it was fun, and after a few days we can certainly be proud of this final and the fact that we were fully involved until the 65th minute and even had the momentum on our side."

Raphael Radtke (FC Biel goalkeeper): "The result doesn't reflect what happened on the pitch. It was closer than everyone expected. We put up a great fight, but Basel scored the goals in the end. So congratulations to FCB. With the penalty that led to 1-2, I wish the VAR had at least looked at the scene again."
