With a 2:0 win at FC Sion, FC Zurich regained top spot in the Super League, at least for 24 hours. In the classic match, YB managed to break free with a 3:2 win against FC Basel.
FC Zurich needed a long breath in Valais before securing the three points. It was only after the break that Mirlind Kryeziu scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot. FCZ thus moved one point ahead of Servette, who face Luzern on Thursday. Sion, on the other hand, have now gone eight games without a win.
The Young Boys managed a real liberating blow. After trailing at the break, the struggling Swiss champions won 3-2 against in-form FC Basel after a turbulent final phase to remain unbeaten in their 18th home game against FCB in a row.
FC Winterthur are languishing at the bottom of the table. In the dense fog of St. Gallen, two struggling teams at least managed a point (2:2). Both have won just once in their last six games.
