Former Swiss youth international Franck Surdez is returning to Switzerland from Belgium to play for FC Sion with immediate effect.

The Valais club has announced that the 24-year-old player from Neuchâtel has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract until 2030.

The winger and ex-Xamax junior moved to Ghent in the top Belgian league two years ago and is now returning ahead of schedule. Surdez had a contract with Gent until 2027.
