The transfer of Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool FC is complete. Both clubs confirmed the transfer of the 24-year-old Dutch international.

Frimpong, who has signed a "long-term contract" with the English champions, has played for Leverkusen since 2021 and was an important part of Granit Xhaka's side that won the double the season before last. The right-back is leaving the Bundesliga after 133 games and 23 goals. German international Florian Wirtz could also follow the same path as Frimpong this summer.
