Leroy Sané is leaving Bayern Munich for Turkey. The German international signs a three-year contract with Turkish champions Galatasaray Istanbul.
Sané is still contractually bound to Bayern until the end of the month and is set to play for the German record champions at the Club World Cup in the USA. Munich were willing to keep the 29-year-old attacking player on beyond this summer, albeit on significantly reduced terms. Sané rejected this offer.
At Galatasaray, Sané will receive a guaranteed net salary of nine million euros and a net loyalty bonus of three million euros per season, as announced by his new club. The transfer is free of charge. Five years ago, Sané moved from Manchester City to Bayern for almost 50 million euros.
