The injury was caused by an unintentional elbow strike from Bam Adebayo. It is not yet known how serious it is. Before leaving the court in the fourth quarter, George had scored 10 points and collected 8 rebounds.
The Atlanta Hawks returned to winning ways after two defeats. The franchise with Geneva center Clint Capela narrowly won 132-130 at the Memphis Grizzlies. The visitors trailed by 12 points at one point in the final quarter, but were able to turn the tide with a strong final spurt. Caris LeVert scored the decisive basket a few seconds before the final buzzer.
Capela contributed 11 points and 4 rebounds to the Hawks' victory. On the Memphis side, Desmond Bane shone with a triple-double consisting of 35 points and 10 rebounds and assists each.
