Swiss giant slalom specialist Andrea Ellenberger will miss the entire upcoming World Cup season.
The 32-year-old from Nidwalden suffered a fracture to her lower right leg in a training crash last December and is not yet ready to race again, as she announced on Instagram.
She still has a lot of metal in her leg and, from her point of view, it is not possible to "ski at the level" she would like to. Her best World Cup results are two 11th places in Kronplatz (2019) and Sölden (2020). The last time she was in the top 20 was two years ago in March.
