Andrin Gulich and Roman Röösli can continue to dream of another medal at the Summer Games in Paris. The two Swiss qualified for the A final in the double sculls.
In doing so, Gulich and Röösli finally corrected their false start at the weekend. They missed out on direct qualification for the semi-final in the preliminary heat. After their victory in the hope heat and second place in the semi-final, Gulich/Röösli are where they wanted to be.
Gulich and Röösli have won a medal at every title competition in which they have competed together.
The Swiss boat was beaten in the semi-final by Croatia, by the brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic. The Croatians already won Olympic gold three years ago in Tokyo. The Swiss lost 2.2 seconds to the Croatians.
