Although Kriens-Lucerne led 55:47 after the first half in Zurich, the game became exciting once again. GC Amicitia turned up the heat after the break and took a 38:33 lead with 37 seconds remaining, before Gino Steenaerts put the club from Central Switzerland in the clear with his seventh goal of the game. Luca Sigrist scored nine times for the visitors.
Kriens-Lucerne will face Gudme from Denmark, the Slovenian team Velenje and the winner of Braga against Ademar Leon from Portugal and Spain respectively in the group stage starting on October 8.
