Lausanne Hockey Club, who only lost the play-off final against the ZSC Lions in the seventh game last season, have made a magnificent start to the season and lead the table after two rounds.
A year ago in September, the Vaud team was already at the top of the National League table. After victories against Servette (2:1) and Ajoie (6:3), Lausanne is back at the top very early in the season. Before this week, Lausanne also won ten points in four games in the Champions Hockey League.
The ZSC Lions also celebrated their second win in their second game against Ambri-Piotta (5:4 after overtime), Rapperswil-Jona Lakers against Biel (3:2) and Kloten against Bern (2:1 after penalties). Zug can also start the season with two wins: the game between the Central Swiss and Servette is still to come.
The surprise of the round came from the SCL Tigers, who won their first home game 4-2 against HC Fribourg-Gottéron, who finished second in qualifying a year ago.
