Four of the seven games in the National League are only decided after regulation time. The facts from Tuesday.
Langnau and Kloten still unbeaten at home
For a long time, it looked like Langnau was going to win for the fifth time in a row for Lugano, who traveled to Emmental as leaders. After a goal by Mark Arcobello in the 6th minute, the Bianconeri led 1:0 until the 48th minute, when Flavio Schmutz equalized for the SCL Tigers. In the 63rd minute, Finland's Vili Saarijärvi scored the much-acclaimed winner for the hosts. Langnau thus remained unbeaten in its fourth home game of the season.
The same applies to the new leaders Kloten, who defeated Zug 4-3 despite conceding a goal in the second minute and trailing 2:3. Defensemen Sami Niku (53rd) and Nicholas Steiner (54th) turned the game around a second time with a double strike within 116 seconds. Miro Aaltonen made it 2:1 for Kloten in the 36th minute after a period of pressure from the visitors. The Finn has blossomed again under coach Lauri Marjamäki, a fellow countryman. After scoring just nine goals last season, he has now scored for the fifth time.
Lausanne wins on penalties
Despite many chances on both sides, only two goals were scored in the first 60 minutes of the game between Lausanne and Biel. Antti Suomela put the Vaud team in front in the 6th minute, Biel's new Swede Lias Andersson saved the visitors 18 seconds before the end of regulation time to send the game into overtime. In the end, the penalty shoot-out had to decide the game. Only Gaëtan Haas scored for Biel, while Theo Rochette and Ahti Oksanen were successful for LHC. It was Lausanne's third home win in a row against Biel, who lost for the third time in a row.
Servette with a turnaround in the final period
Genève-Servette, who started the championship with three defeats in a row, celebrated their second win in a row with a 3-2 win at Fribourg-Gottéron. Teemu Hartikainen (46) and Markus Granlund (54) turned the game around in the final period. The former had already scored in Servette's first four games of the season. It was the first win in Freiburg after three defeats for Geneva, who had to play their first eight championship games away from home due to construction work in their home arena.
Overtime again in Ambri
In the fourth home game of the season, the spectators in Ambri also enjoyed extra time, and the Leventines took the extra point for the third time. André Heim scored the winning goal against Davos in the 64th minute to make it 2:1. Two minutes earlier, Ambri's Tim Heed, the scorer of the 1:1 (37.), had failed with a penalty, as had his teammate Dominik Kubalik in the 36th minute, who lost the puck on the rush. Yannick Frehner was responsible for Davos' 1:0 in the 35th minute. It was the Grisons' 18th goal of the season, but only the second scored by a Swiss player.
Ajoie still without points
Ajoie are still without points after their seventh game of the season. After twelve minutes, the home team were 2-0 down against Bern - the goals for the visitors were scored by defenders Patrik Nemeth (7th) and Romain Loeffel. It took just 21 seconds after the first break before Marco Lehmann, who also recorded two assists, increased the lead to 3:0. Ajoie also conceded a goal in the first minute of the final period through Austin Czarnik - 0:5 - and it stayed that way. Bern goalie Adam Reideborn recorded his second consecutive shutout thanks to 28 saves.
