After Bayern dropped points for the first time at Union Berlin in the 10th round before the international break, they returned to winning ways against Freiburg despite trailing 2-0. The visitors from Breisgau challenged the record champions, at least in the first half. Johan Manzambi scored for the first time this season in the 17th minute from a corner. However, Bayern equalized the score before the break and turned the game around after the break.

Dortmund negligently missed out on victory in the chasing duel against Stuttgart. The home team, with Gregor Kobel in goal, let a 2:0 lead slip away in a crazy game before it looked like a lucky win in the 89th minute after Karim Adeyemi, who had recently come under criticism, made it 3:2. However, Deniz Undav prevented this with his third goal in stoppage time. Dortmund have now gone seven games without a win against the Swabians. The last five encounters have all gone to Stuttgart.

Bayern's closest rivals are Leverkusen. The Werkself won 3:1 in Wolfsburg without any problems and are eight points behind the leaders.

Borussia Mönchengladbach celebrated their third win in a row and settled in the middle of the table. A foul on Nico Elvedi led to a penalty and the visitors from the Lower Rhine taking the lead in their 3-0 win at bottom club Heidenheim.

Anton Kade fired FC Augsburg, with Fabian Rieder in the starting eleven as usual, to their third win of the season and their first in four games. The former Basler was the only player to score in the game against Hamburg, taking some of the pressure off the shoulders of coach Sandro Wagner.
