Marco Sturm is the first German head coach in the NHL. The 46-year-old succeeds Joe Sacco at the Boston Bruins.
"I feel incredibly honored," says Sturm, who played 1006 games in the world's best ice hockey league as a player. In the past three seasons, he was head coach of the Ontario Reign, the farm team of the Los Angeles Kings. In 2018, he sensationally led Germany to Olympic silver.
