Alexis Monney and Franjo von Allmen also shine in the team combination. Monney sets the fastest time for Tanguy Nef, Loïc Meillard's partner Von Allmen is almost as fast.
In partly foggy conditions, Monney was two hundredths faster in the downhill of the team combined than downhill world champion Von Allmen, who went off the ideal line in the middle section, but was able to limit the damage.
Third place went to "Italy 1" with Dominik Paris and Alex Vinatzer, just under half a second behind. Behind them, there is another gap of half a second to the 4th place of Daniel Hemetsberger/Fabio Gstrein.
Stefan Rogentin/Marc Rochat (8th intermediate) and Justin Murisier/Daniel Yule (10th), like the French and Austrian top duos Nils Allègre/Clément Noël (11th) and Vincent Kriechmayr/Manuel Feller (13th), will have to catch up in the slalom if they want to be in contention for the medals. Rochat goes into the slalom a good six tenths behind Vinatzer, Yule around seven tenths behind.
The slalom starts at 1.15 pm. The start will be in reverse order from 30th place.
