Morgane Métraux is tied back in the battle for a medal in the Olympic golf tournament in the first tranche of the final round.
After three excellent days and an interim lead after the 2nd and 3rd rounds, the Vaud native started with two bogeys on Saturday and even had to record a triple bogey (3 over par) on the fifth hole. Métraux had made bogey on this hole in the first two rounds.
After 9 of the 18 holes, Métraux is now only in joint 9th place. However, he is only two shots behind the medal places. New Zealand's Lydia Ko is in the lead with a five-stroke advantage.
