FC Schaffhausen AG has new owners. Fitim and Boletin Hasani are taking over all shares in the Challenge League's bottom club.
This was announced by the club on Thursday. The new owners are from Zurich and work in the construction industry. Their aim is to stabilize the club, which is struggling with financial problems. CEO Jimmy Berisha is stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors and handing over to Fitim Hasani, who will form the new Board of Directors together with Boletin Hasani.
FC Schaffhausen sees this change as "an important step towards a new future". With "modern ideas and investments", "new impulses" are to be set. The new owners' background in the construction industry should also provide a valuable basis for the long-term development of the stadium, the club announced.
"Our aim is to further strengthen the club in all areas - both in terms of sport and infrastructure," Fitim Hasani is quoted as saying in the club's press release.
